You will find that you will not get one for that price. I have just
purchased one
for $550 from Cydex computers. When I rang him he told they had just gone
up to $550 from $530 (Web Page) I rang around everywhere for one and that
was the best price by a long shot. Most quoted $650 for the bare SCSI drive
and about $750 for a kit.

I even had one place in Perth (who shall remain nameless) quote me $730
for the bare drive!

Anyway I think you you struggle to find many cheaper unless your prepared
to wait 12 months! The one I got was a 7502 C with firmware 4.05!

It's a great drive and works great at X4 from my Panasonic 508 SCSI CD Rom
and from my old 850 SCSI II HD. I am only using a Adaptec 1522B ISA
SCSI controller which controlles my HD, Zip Drive, SyQuest Drive, SCSI
CD-Rom
and Panasonic CD-R. I can burn CD's while downloading from FTP and talking
to people on ICQ.

I have to say that this drive is a lot better than the Yamaha CDR102 I used
to
own, not a coaster in sight. Couldn't say that with the Yamaha!
