Hello,
I have just installed a new DRU700A DVD Dual layer, and they all work fine
but not DVD movies or DVD karaoke.
As I am trying to watch DVD movies or DVD Karaoke from
some of the DVDs with PAL, some with NTSC, and none of them work, I have
also tried DVD movies from UK(england) and non of them work and always get
this error
"Access to the specified device, path, or file is denied.", but I can browse
those folders using Window Explorer and no access denied.
I am logged in as Administrator and using win2k.
Please help!!!!

Thanks so much

Is the region setting appropriate for the discs you're trying? On my XP
system, the option is offered to reset region, but wihtout knowing your
OS, it's impossible to tell whether your message can mean region error.

I think if you read his original post, he says "I am logged in as Administer
and using Win2K"
Cheers

Indeed, he did. I even quoted it, but it passed me by (and not because
of the spelling error).

My apologies.

I use XP for almost all my DVD work. When my DVD-ROM drive balked at a
Region 2 disc, I was offered the option to change region. I believe one
can do that from the Properties tab - but I've not tried it in Win2K.

Sure sounds like an isolated case.

True enough on rereading. I still don't use the OS or know the
programs. Have you anything to offer him? It's fine to catch
an irrelevant error, but won't someone with knowledge contribute?

    Trolls not invited.

There's a slimy reason why Mikey spewed not knowing the OS:

        [...not USE ...not know...not write...]

I do not comment on what I don't know.
I only write about what I know
        I don't write about what I don't know

And these:
