Hi! You open a explorerwindwo and at the third menu (i don't know exactly what its called in the english version) there is a point named options or folderoptions with active desktop , there will came a tabbed panel and you go to filetypes, there u use the button "New File Type", there you can choose a other symbol, at discription u type in the file discripton u want and a the field below u type in the extention form your files for examel .class and at the text field below type in the action that you want "open" and then use button "new" and choose the application u want to use. The only problem is applets and applications use the same extention so the system don't know what to use appletviewer.exe or java.exe I hope that would help a little.
