I require a plain text editor for use in a academic project
I need an editor that loads a single file at a time
it must have:
cut, copy, paste and undo, load, save, save as, and quit
no other functionality is required or really desired.

it must be able to be called from a parent application, and not quit the
parent application

this is not for a commercial product so it needs to be freeware
source code is desirable and credit will be given to author.

if you know of an editor suitable could you please send it or a loacation
for it
asap please.
