OT: Desktop versus Laptop

Hi

With anybody trying to start up a small business using
J2EE and chasing clients is it a good idea to spend
extra and buy a laptop instead of a desktop? I've had
differing opinions on this.

One said that a laptop is essential for displaying
demo applications to clients in their offices or
where-ever.

Another said a laptop can be overkill and would take a
lot of presentations to pay for itself and that colour
printouts of the demo app would be more than enough. I
was told I'd be better off spending the money on a
good desktop.

I'm in no hurry but I'm looking at replacing my aging
Pentium 2-350 desktop after I get this year's tax
return done. It's six years old and I'll give it to my
relatives when I get my next confusor.

I am on a tight budget so if I do get a laptop I'd
want to make sure it was a justifiable decision. Apart
from trying to start up my business I'm a part time IT
student and I'm hoping to do the Sun J2se exam this
year.

Thanks
