Hi Just wondering if anyone can help with a quick question on Java. A friend of mine has just discovered the internet. Her machine is a Pentium 1 100 running windows 95. I have tried to show her how to use the Yahoo chat System which uses Applet windows but I keep getting an error message saying "Java is not enabled". I have downloaded internet exporer 5.5 and installed it on her system and enabled the java setting in the security section of the internet options BUT the same problem happened. I have checked my own system which runs W98 and IE5.5 and there is additional Java settings in the security section of internet options which dont appear on my friends machine. I have a suspicion it may be that W95 may not support Java / Applets the same as W98??? Would this be the problem??? and if so is there a way around the problem by installing a W95 update?? as my friend is only new to computers and is not really keen to upgrade her OS till she understands computers a little. (IE: dosent yet want to spend anymore $$) Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks in Advance!!! Cheers!.... Gary.............
