I have a java applet which was written on a PC. It was written in java 1.0 and must remain so until we release the next version. I'm am trying to make it Mac compatible and would appreciate any tips. Specifically - IE5 keeps throwing Stack overflow errors and I'm guessing the applet is too complex for the amount of memory the IE vm uses. Netscape 4.7 can load and run the applet but it seems to have major painting problems. - some buttons don't appear until I resize the dialog box they are in. Worse - some components appear 2 or 3 times repainted over themselves a few pixels apart. Calling repaint() is not helping. Both browsers I am running with the inbuilt vm's. Can someone recommend which browser/vm to use - any tips for Mac java?? Is it possible to have java plug-ins for Netscape on Mac?
