Hello,
I'm not ure if this is the right NG, If not please suggest an
appropriate NG when you flame me :)

I have a user who is trying to access a site with a Java applet that
sometimes works...
The site is http://www.statedevelopment.qld.gov.au Goto the HTML
version, There is a java applet "NewsTicker" just under the red meny
buttons at the top. On some machines it works, others it appears as a
white bar. When you point the mouse at it, Netscape shows "Applet
NewsTicker can't start: ERROR"

I'm trying to pinpoint whether it's a netscape/OS problem or a problem
with th applet.

Here some of the machines I've tried it on
Netscape 4.73 on NT4.0 - No
Netscape 4.73 on Solaris x86 2.6 - No
Netscape 4.7? on MacOS Ver?? - Yes
Netscape 4.06 on win98 - No doesn't get past the macromedia/html page
Netscape 4.72 on NT4.0 - No
IE5 on NT4.0 - Yes - Same machine as above

Netscape 4.72 on NT4.0 - Yes Different network.

Any suggestions on where to look or how to fix it would be greatly
appreciated

Cheers
Peter Arnold
