Hello, I am new to programming. I have taken up an MSc IT course and for the course I have chosen to do a project on chess end games. Please could you direct me in the right direction to program chess end games. I know that there are much literature on game trees, minmax, alpha-beta pruning etc. However could you assist me in the programming approach to take on programming for example board representation etc... Also could you direct me to sites with shareware for chess programs that I could study the codes for preferably written in Java ( this is the only language I know). I know that there are couple of sites were the software is written in C++. Regards Soheb
