I have has no problems with this (except its slow). I know that the IBM jdk requires libc6(glibc 2), thus only runs on Redhat 6.0+, I am pretty sure that this is the case with the Blackdown 2.0+ jdk's as well. Ok the reason for all these library problems is the switch from libc5 to glibc2.0. This makes binaries from Redhat 5.2- incompatible with Redhat 6.0+. (If your using RedHat 5.0 you probably know most of the details, but it was probably linux's biggest blunder). So you either have to get the sun jdk (If you can't find it I have a copy, try rufus.w3.org and look for libc5 contribs for RedHat) or upgrade to a Linux system that uses glibc 2.0. (I think all of the recent ones are). Hope this helps Moz PS I assume you are using the IBM compiler and interpreter?
