Hi everyone, Im fairly new to java and have only been programming with it fairly basicaly for a short while. What i want to know is, can i compile direct to machine code for my mac, as apposed to byte code and having to live with the VM? Im not worried about it being cross platform or any such thing. Its just im wanting to make a few small applications to run on my mac, and i want to be able to move them around to machines that dont have normal java stuff installed. For instance, within Visual Caf i can compile to an mrj application. But that doesnt help me if i want to put it on my IIci in the other room and run it, as it has no mrj installed. Nor do i want to install it. So anyway, am i crazy? Just really like to make some truely stand alone apps for my mac for once. Cheers Daniel
