Hi All Java experts. I would like to express my needs here, if you can help
me, I thank you a lot for your invaluable supports.

First of all. I have a friend in Vietnam, and she just subscribed to the
internet service. As you know, Internet in a country such as Vietnam is not
popular. And such a communist country. However, we want to chat and send
instant messages using programs such as ICQ or YAHOO IM... or even a chat
applet at www.virtualnetworking.com . However there is no luck. This
applet said she is behind a firewall. YAHOO IM or ICQ disconects her
internet connection. And finally she called to the ISP, they said they do
not allow chatting there because it would compete the telephone companies.
She can only view web pages, emailing...

I wonder if there is any chat applet or application that would break the
firewall or allows us to chat>??? Can a Java applet do such a thing? Do
you know of any web page or site that allows us to chat??? Does non-java
chat such as the one at www.vietchat.com allow us to chat?

If there is any info, please send me an email at:

nguyen@yesic.com

Thanks a lot for your supports.

John decker.

I'm behind a firewall and this works fine for me.

http://www.chatsystems.com

It's even IRC based so you could log onto
Undernet for example and use mIRC to chat from
your end.
