I wish to construct java programs on a macintosh. There appears to be no JDK or SDK for mac freely available from Sun. Is there any free way to obtain a compiler + jvm that I can use ?? Thankyou.

For MacOS 9 Try the MRJ SDK: http://developer.apple.com/sdk/index.html#MRJ For MacOS X Start with ProjectBuilder: http://developer.apple.com/tools/projectbuilder/ You might need to join the ADC to get access to this... .droo. nathan sinclair wrote: > > I wish to construct java programs on a macintosh. > There appears to be no JDK or SDK for mac freely available from Sun. > Is there any free way to obtain a compiler + jvm that I can use ?? > > Thankyou.

Speaking of which, is there a Mac Swing LAF? We are redeveloping An app, and pluggable look-and-feels are an easy way to add "Wow" value. What I' really like is a windows look and feel that responds to windows messages tio change colurs etc. It would involve a native library, of course. -- -------------------------------------------------------------- Repent!
