cached info that InetAddress stores?

When I use InetAddress.getAllByName(hostName) to get a list of IP addresses,
the data is cached. Subsequent calls to this method always return the same
data. However the host addresses sometimes changes and I want to detect
this. This is for use on a local machine (not for querying arbitrary
machines on the net).

The reason is to detect an IP from an ISP might be added since the VM
started. If I restart the VM all the IP's are listed.

Is there a way to clear the cached info that InetAddress stores? Is there a
better way for me to check the active IP's on a local machine?

Is this a bug in the API?
