Hi,
A friend at Uni told me that Sun does not make the JDK 1.3 for Linux,
and that instead it is made by IBM or Backdown (I think thats the name)
so there are two versions.. Is this correct? And what about the Windows
version, is that made by Sun, or is it another company?
Thanks,
Regards,
Ross..

Is this correct? That's Blackdown. Yes, anyone with a licence from Sun can produce a JDK. Sun hasn't released a version of 1.3 for Linux yet. I expect they will, and it will probably be based on the work done by Blackdown. >And what about the Windows >version, is that made by Sun, or is it another company? Sun. Tom
