I have a client who requires a Java Programmer for a  4 month contract.

Our client designs and manufactures control equipment for refrigeration and
air conditioning units, especially foood loss alarm systems.
They are currently developing an exciting application to create a GUI
interface that will allow their systems to be set and managed over an
Internet connection. This will allow users access to all equipment
functionality from remote locations.  The deployment platform is Linux and
the application is being written in Java. We need a Java programmer to
assist in the design and implementation of new features in a this
manangement and control system.  Applicants should have strong OO design
skills and experience using JFC/Swing would be advantageous.  Although not
essential, a knowledge of Linux would be a big advantage, as would an
awareness of design considerations of embedded systems.  Candidates are
likely to have a Computer Science background with strong hardware skills;
or, an Electronics/Electrical Engineer with strong software skills.  Strong
verbal and written communication skills are essential. The contract is
expected to last for approximately 4 months and payment will be comensurate
with the skills and experience you bring to the role.
