Jeez, Andrew, maybe there's no employee left at Google groups who
even knows how to add an outside group to the loop. Don't know if my
memory's been 'enhanced' by nostalgia, but seems to me Alta Vista had
a vastly superior Usenet search engine.

More interesting to me (is there any impotence greater than that of
the 'concerned' citizen?) is a new government determined to practice
its vote sustaining power on a media it and most voters know very
little about, and a corresponding lack of protest from those most
affected now and potentially by both new and proposed changes to 
internet infrastructure.

Seems Cisco is developing new control technology for the Chinese
masters to whom Kevin Rudd has already bowed.
