I'm having trouble starting slrn at the command prompt. I'm can't start slrn without the -h option. slrn tells me that I have to set the NNTPSERVER environment variable to my sever name - but I don't know how to do that. It gives an example, but I don't understand the example. The example is (csh): setenv NTTPSERVER my.news.server I'm using slrn on a stand alone machine using RedHat Linux 5.2. I'm using leafnode so that I can use slrn as an offline newsreader, I think my server name should be localhost. That works if I use the following command to launch slrn. $slrn -f localhost Can anybody tell me how to set the environment variable? Steve -- Stephen Reynolds Adelaide South Australia
