You can tell Linux to run xdm : on boot by setting default runlevel in the /etc/inittab file to 4 ie. : id:4:initdefault : xdm is an X-windows based login and display manager\ : Sorry, I knew I was not clear on this... When X-Windows is not working, I can switch between virtual terminals using Alt+[Fnn]. Is it posible, however, to have more than 1 X-Window login on different terminals? Ie Say I press Ctrl+Alt+F6, it will come up with and X-Terminal, then I press Ctrl+Alt+F7, and it comes up wiht another X-Terminal. Or am I limited to only one virtual X-Terminal? I hope this is clear now? Daniel. (dbentley@metz.une.edu.au)
