I've released version 1.0b of Xaw-Xpm, an improved version of Xaw(3d), the
standard Athena Widget set. It's based on the 1.1a release of Xaw3d.

Added is support for background xpm (pixmap) images in just about every
widget, which vastly improves the look of apps using it. It comes with
sample pixmaps and Xresource settings.

Just imagine...having nicely textured buttons, scrollbars, etc on your
desktop; it's enough to make a Wind*ze user drool! (And certainly looks
a whole lot better than the equivalent Motif widgets IMHO :)

It is very efficient, and has very little impact on my system's resources
(P166, 32Mb), by ensuring that each pixmap is only loaded once per app.

More info, screen-shots, and the sources/bins are available at:

        http://www.zip.com.au/~bb/XawXpm/

I'll also put it on sunsite.unc.edu when I get around to it.

It's been running fine on a few Linux systems for a while, and should run on
other Unix platforms too, just as long as the Xaw and Xpm libraries are
available.

Please send me bug reports, suggestions, etc.
