I manage several Novell Netware servers, which we back up to DAT
tape using Arcserve running in a Netware box. I'd like to do the 
same thing with my Linux systems (as clients to Arcserve).  For 
this we would need an SMS-compliant TSA (Target Service Agent) for 
Linux. I've found no reference to such a thing anywhere in the 
newsgroups or on the Web. Does anyone have an idea of an answer to 
any of the following?:

1. Is what I'm trying to do a silly idea ?

2. Will the Arcserve TSA for SCO Unix work succesfully on Linux 
   using the iBCS emulator ? (has anyone actually done it ?)

3. Is there a native TSA for Linux available or in development?

4. If I was crazy enough to try and write such a thing, would
   others find it useful?  Would there be any legal complications?

5. Is there anything available that will do this the other way 
   around? In other words, an SMS-compliant backup system running
   on a Linux server able to back up Netware systems, DOS
   workstations, etc... ?
