I am new to using Linux, and have a few questions. If someone could point me to the apropriate documentation for answers, or tell me an answer in the newsgroup, they would have my eternal gratitude... I am using Slackware 3.1.0, which I downloaded from the net. 1. Where are the files that are used when booting up - that tell the machine what to do next (like load the deamons) etc? 2. How do I modify my path perminantly? 3. I have XFree86, and was wondering about the following - how do I get it to work so that more than one person can login / or so that upon bootup, it will load automatically, and all I have to do is swap to the new terminal? Thanks in advance... Daniel. (dbentley@metz.une.edu.au)
