Hi all !
I have two computers, hooked up with a plip connection, one running
Linux, the other one running Windows 3.1 with the plip packet driver
under Trumpet Winsock.
Now, I am trying to get rescource-sharing between the two machines
working. However, from what I read, it seems that Trumpet doesn't
support SMB. Installing Windows '95 doesn't seem to help either, since
I can't figure out how to use its TCP/IP stack over the plip packet
driver. A third option might be to use Windows' (either 3.1 or 95)
built-in support for parallel computer-to-computer connection, however
I haven't come across any driver for Linux.
I've got three questions:
a: is there a way to use Microsofts Windows3.1 Lanmanager over a PLIP
connection (possibly on top of Trumpet Winsock)?
or b: is there a way to tell Windows '95 to use the PLIP packet driver ?
or c: is there a linux driver for Microsoft Windows' parallel cable link?
I realize that this is not entirely a linux question, but I figure
Linux users are the most likely to have come across this problem.
