By making a few changes to gettydefs and inittab I have managed to get a Mac running Zterm to connect up to a PC running Linux across a serial connection. This gets a login prompt and is identical to terminal emulation to a Linux host using a modem. Perusal of relevant Howto documentation, including the network "howto", hasn't shown how a Mac client can be connected across a serial line to a Linux host using SLIP or (preferably) PPP. If anyone has connected a Mac to a Linux host across a serial line using SLIP or PPP I would be appreciated to learn the full details of how it is done. Frank M
