It's a good idea to delete, or comment out the resolutions you don't want in
the XF86Config file.

Down the bottom of the file in the 'screen sections' delete resolutions you
can't run the monitor / video card at --- and put the resolution you want to
be the default, first.

In the 'monitor section' just have YOUR monitor defined (use the generic svga)
if you don't know the monitor frequencies. Also delete or comment out any
modes that should not be supported.

Cheers, Tony.
