Need Tcl shared lib?

#57673

Just compiled and installed tcl 7.5. Since the configure program
couldn't figure out how to make shared libs on my linux box, make
only gave me libtcl75.a but no libtcl75.so. Now, the question is,
do I need libtcl75.so at all? If all tcl scripts are executed by
tclsh, I shouldn't need the shared lib (assuming tclsh has been
linked with the static lib), right?
