Hi, I am trying to set up Linux to work with PPP so I can dial up my ISP and use that rather than Win95. I have compiled the PPP drivers in the kernal, and it says on the boot up screen(s) that SLIP, CSLIP and PPP is there, and I have tried using dip, but whenever dip gets the "mode PPP" command, it hangs up the modem, and the Terminal Ready light goes out. My script for dip works fine up to that point, it dials, connects, logs in , gets my IP address, but hangs up at "mode PPP". Using dip interactively gets the same result-set the port, TR light comes on, do "mode PPP" and the light goes out. pppd just says "Sorry-PPP is not available on this computer". I have read the docs, looked at web sites, looked at books, but cant find an answer to this problem. Any help appreciated. Thanks, Bill LaGrue
