Sorry I mised the original post. And the e-mail address
is gone with it...
I have a code 3 of 9 printing program written in perl4
Right now it is set up to do a 24-pin dot-matrix printer,
but recoding that output part to write HP(bleck)-PCL is
not hard.
My code is at home...
If there is any intrest I will get it.
This script is easy to work with and is sort
of like code 3of9 under the hood.
And of cource will run on most
anything that can run perl4.

Small HP flame...
(bleck) I bought a new HP color printer last year and
inorder to get the PCL codes out of HP I had to buy a
$39.00 book...(sic) This was the first HP printer I
had seen without the PCL sequences explained, all
printers before where monotone. What got me was I
payed good money for the books that came with the
printer that told me things like why I would want to
print red with green and artsy stuff like that... One
does not have to goto HP to get that stuff artsy
stuff. But one does have tgoto HP to get the PCL
codes. I think HP is getting messed up by there
marketing people.
