This worked for me on 850M, when I was warned that Linux needs to be under 1024 cylinders. a) DOS booting diskette with FORMAT and FDISK. b) Linux boot and root diskettes. On "virgin" drive boot DOS and FDISK a small ~40M partition. Make it active FORMAT and SYS. Check that it will boot. Now boot Linux, check in as root and call fdisk. Create a swap partition, usually twice the size of RAM and the main partition, in my case ~450M, give them the proper numbers and save the configuration. Now back to DOS FDISK, create extended partition on remainder of the drive, divide it into as many logical drives as you wish and you are all set. Hope it helps. Stanislaw.
