further to the help I've already received, I have a Octek 9 Video Card and don't know how to install it with X-Windows. Secondly, in the unpacking files, after the 10th file it unpacks it comes up with a error:- package install failed with error unpacking of archive failed. Any suggestions? thanks julie majamoo@magna.com.au >> Hi, >> >> I'm hoping to get some help. This worked for me on 850M, when I was warned that Linux >needs to be under 1024 cylinders. >a) DOS booting diskette with FORMAT and FDISK. >b) Linux boot and root diskettes. >On "virgin" drive boot DOS and FDISK a small ~40M partition. Make it active >FORMAT and SYS. Check that it will boot. >Now boot Linux, check in as root and call fdisk. Create a swap partition, >usually twice the size of RAM and the main partition, in my case ~450M, >give them the proper numbers and save the configuration. >Now back to DOS FDISK, create extended partition on remainder of the drive, >divide it into as many logical drives as you wish and you are all set. >Hope it helps. >Stanislaw.
