There's been a recent thread about Trio64+ cards so i was curious if anyone has had any success with Trio64 (without the +) Expert Color video cards. I've got the XF86Config file set up to use the S3 server with s3_generic chipset and correct (worked with my previous ISA video card) settings for my monitor. The problem is that running startx doesn't display anything at all on the monitor! No wavvy lines or uncentered picture - nothing. The VC which started X doesn't give any error messages. Things look like they have started up normally. Does anyone have any hints? I'm stuck in text mode... Aargh! )-: Tim.
