Hi,
did you just upgrade the RAM?
If you did a large RAM upgrade, you may find you will suffer a performance
hit until you add more cache RAM too.
I bet that you have upgraded to beyond 32MB, and now need to upgrade
the basic 256kb cache RAM to 512kb.
the rule of thumb (I think) is:
128kb cache -> up to 16Mb RAM
256kb cache -> up to 32Mb
512kb cache -> up to 64MB
I do not what you do if you have a larger capacity machine!
I would also be careful that your motherboard had replacable
cache RAM as well. If it's soldered in, you will be unable
to upgrade the RAM any further,
without getting rid of the slowdown.
