The soundcard may be putting the CDROM on the tertiary or quaternary
IDE interface. Linux 1.2.* kernels cannot see these interfaces. DOS
gives you the CD location (DMA and IRQ) when it boots. Anyone with
problems/questions should quote this information as well as the kernel
version. There are at least two possible solutions to this problem.

1. Use a 1.3 (or higher?) IDE kernel. See the readme.IDE in the v1.3
kernel code (drivers/block/ide?) for much more information on this.
My PnP soundcard insisted on using the quaternary interface, and
the 1.3 kernel found the CD at /dev/hdg (master device, quat. interface).
I also added the boot parameter ide3=0x168 and set the CD drive
   jumper to 'master'.

2. If your motherboard/disk controller has a spare IDE socket you
can just put the CD on that instead. Use Creative's CDSETUP.EXE
to tell DOS where it has gone. If the CD jumper is set to 'master'
and it is on the secondary interface, Linux 1.2 should find it
   at /dev/hdc.

Note that there are many types of Creative sound/CD hardware, so this
may not be the solution in all cases.
