Thank you everyone for your advice. I'm hoping that I will eventually
get this sorted out - it's very frustrating.  At the moment, after
running Redhat, it gets to the partition check, I get the following
messages:-

	hda multiple mode turned off
	hda:hdal
	ram disk 242144 bytes, 0x00228400
	kernel panic: VFS: unable to mount roofs on 03:40


I don't like the look of it - can anyone tell me what's happening?
