I'm trying to use the built-in command bind to bind ^? (ie, del) to the readline function delete-char. It works if I enter the command directly. It doesn't work if I put it into .bashrc. I can use "bind -q delete-char" in .bashrc to verify that it does bind the key successfully in .bashrc but somehow the effect is gone when .bashrc has been processed. Any idea why? --- Kent Tong Freeman Installer ==> http://www.netnet.net/users/freeman/
