Can any one help me a couple of problems. The video chip I use is part of the mother board and uses my main memory for video RAM. You set it in the CMOS for either 1 or 2 meg of Video memory. When I try and run XWindows it only recognises that I have 64K on the video card which will run nothing - any ideas short of buying a new video card. My CDROM is able to be recognises during the setup using the command line "ramdisk hdd=cdrom" where my CD-ROM is set up as the slave on the secondary IDE - I have a Goldstar GCD R542B Quad speed CD ROM. The Kernel I was using for the CDROM is abare. After linux is setup I am unable to get it to detect the CDROM no matter what I try - any ideas
