Recently the best option to me has been good old emacs with helper-mode etc., but having tried Netscape Gold with its built-in WYSIWYG editor under Solaris, and finding you can flip over to emacs for text mode, I'm about to try the same combination on Linux. Netscape haven't got the WYSWIYG really right yet, but if I have emacs as a direct fall-back, it's OK. And I do like the idea of a universal web tool. And I like the idea of being able, if I want to, to edit my home page and republish it remotely if necessary, which I'm about to try on Solaris. If it works, it's handy for me to fix my home page on another node from work.
