Hi Guys,

   I have this funny problem.
   I have been slowly migrating over to using kernel 2.0.8, upgrading the
packages such as PPP, procps-1.01 and all the others.

   Kernel compiles and boots fine. The interesting thing is that when it shows
the login prompt and when I do a dmesg the kernel version there shows as 2.0.0.

   Interesting. I checked the file version.h in the
   /usr/src/linux/include/linux directory and it says there

   #define UTS_RELEASE "2.0.8"

   Weird !

   Does anyone have a clue as to what could be causing this ?

Thanks
Graham
