FVWM is usually set up so that if you use your middle button on the
root window (the background) you get a window management menu. From
there you can pick 'Move', and then drag the window where you want it.

: 2. Is "shutdown -h 0" the standard way of shutting down the computer?

That's one way. 'halt -t 0' and 'reboot -t 0' and ALT-CTRL-DEL will
probably work too.

: 3. The ET4000 W32 driver of XFree86 doesn't seem to work with my card

: and the computer hangs. Currently I am using the generic SVGA driver
: that seems to work OK but only in 640x480 mode. Any suggestions?

Go to http://www.xfree86.org/ and read the FAQ and beta release notes
there. They mention some problems with the ET4000/W32 driver. The
new beta may work for you.

I've got one of those cards myself, and I eventually gave up with
XFree. I'm using Metro-X now because it comes with Red Hat Official
Linux, but people say X-Inside is also good.

: 4. There are many commands that don't have man pages, how to figure out
: how to use them?

Depends on what command it is.
