Hi, I'v got a cdrom drive installed but Linux 1.2.13 doesn't want to detect is. I recompiled the kernel many times trying all possible cdrom drivers. Last time I read that the cdrom has to be set up as a master drive but as my computer has still guarantee I just can't open the box to set the jumpers properly. It was suggested to set hdd=cdrom. BUT HOW AND WHERE? Is it a link from cdrom to hdd in /drv or does the kernal have to be recompiled again? Please help me! MARKUS
