Hi Looking for some tips on two problems I have since I sold my old computer and put the linux HD in my pentium. I have slakware 3.0 (ELF) with 1.2.13 kernal already installed on a 420Mb IDE HD. I have run the setup script to try to change the kernel to support the CDROM with no luck (tried all IDE options) so I ended up copying the Slackware CDROM directories to my other HD for attempting to reconfigure linux. Ideas? X worked fine with the svga server with the trident card I had in the old computer. Now I have a diamond stealth 64 VRAM PCI with 2Mb VRAM. Nothing I do will show that X detects the card. The config utility and autoprobe can't see it either. When X attempts to start, it complains about no free VTs and aborts. What am I doing wrong?? (I am using the S3 server). Richard
