Upgrading GCC 2.6.3 to 2.7.2

#58203

I have tried unsuccessfully, twice, to upgrade GCC. Each time when I to
run GCC, the shell returns a file not found error. I have checked
'/usr/bin' for 'gcc' and it exists. When I type '/usr/bin/gcc' or if I
'cd /usr/bin' then type './gcc' the error still persists.
