hi all

thanks to all who responded to my plea for help with the aha2940 !

well I've got linux 2.0 up and running....but whenever I try to run
pppd, I get a message saying "Sorry, PPP is not available on this
system"

now I definitely said yes to ppp support when I recompiled my kernel ,
I've definitely got the ppp files required (they all worked fine on my
old 1.2.13 system) and I've checked everything I can think of....has
anyone else run into this ?

everything else seems to be working fine

any ideas welcome
thanks
Eric
