Hi.
Now that I have Linux (Redhat) installed and running, with X-windows,
I find that when I try to run Xview I get an error :
cannot find libjpeg.so.5
When I try to run xdoom :
cannot find libXt.so.3
What is happening??? I have put /usr/X11R6/lib into the /etc/lib.so.conf
file and have run ldconfig but these files do not exist anywhere on my
system. There is a libXt.so.6 in /usr/X11R6/lib and there is a file
libjpeg.a in /usr/lib, but nowhere else.
I am guessing that maybe the version of XV / xdoom I am using are not for
my version of XFree, but they all came off the same CD-rom so this should
not be so.
One last question....I only have fv window manager running but I am used
to Tvtwm. With regard to memory usuage, which is better (uses less), and
where can I get it if I want to use it.
Thanx
Julian
