I managed to get some output using the epson emulation mode however its printing in what looks like 360*180 dpi instead of 360*360. that is everything was twice as tall as it should have been and didn't fit on a single page. (I'm using RedHat 3.0.3 and setup the printer using the control-panel). Something I did notice while reading the printer manual(!) was that in epson emulation mode the paper size setting on the dip switches of the printer can only be 11 or 12 inches. (A4 is 11.69 inches) The proprinter emulation mode supports 11, 12 and 11.69 inch long paper. The extra 10mm is probably due to the .31 inches of paper missing off the bottom of an A4 sheet. I also tried using bj200 and bj10e drivers but the printer beeped continuously in protest whenever printing was about to take place, obviously the wrong drivers. I had hoped the proprinter driver would work but no... I've been looking this morning for some info on creating drivers for ghostscript (with very little success). I've been reading the Linux HOWTO's etc but the best advice is: find a program that outputs okay and doctor up a filter around that.
