Sounds a bit harsh. Okay, the guy didn't really know what he was talking about
but you'd be doing well to find a salesman at a typical software shop who knew
that much about Linux (no offence to anyone reading intended).

Last year I bought Infomagic 4CD August 95. I went first to Software Express,
who said, and I quote: "we don't sell shareware." (This is particularly
offensive because not two months before then I bought Hobbes OS/2 shareware CD
from them). Then I went to "Computers Click Here" who had a couple of expensive
looking editions, not the Infomagic (which was what I wanted). Then Downtown
had it, and said it arrived just before I got there. Good stuff.

However if it's not urgent you can get a pretty good deal mail ordering from
Leonard Chan. (http://www.zip.com.au/~lychan).
