I have just done the same thing, I have a Maxtor 1.3GB hard drive, if I fdisk'd the hard drive with dos fdisk, then linux would only see 1.3GB, not the partitions. but the Linux fdisk allowed both operating systems to see the partitions. So one piece of advice is to install Linux first then DOS. Also I had to first of all run a Maxtor file from the A drive so that the bios would see the 1.3GB, The file's as far as I know are shareware, so if anyone wants a copy mail me your snail mail address, and I can mail em to you. I will check with Maxtor first if they are copyrighted. Jason Cordingley
