Being a Linux fan, I bought myself a new computer to run it but I can't make it run Linux. Win95 runs quite happily. Setup is: Asus P55T2P4 rev 2.1 PCI-SC200 32 Mb Seagate ST51080N (SCSI) When I run the Linux installation boot floppy it says: Unknown PCI device (8086:1250) Unknown PCI device (8086:7000) Unknown PCI device (8086:7010) so it can't find my SC200 leave alone the hard drive. There is no third device on the bus. I have tried RedHat and Debian with kernels 1.3.95 and 1.3.100 Is there some trick to this? Any boot parameters that I can feed in? About the only thing that I had to guess on the install was the jumper setting on the Seagate - I set it to 'Power to drive terminator only.' All help much appreciated. I would even like to hear from someone who _has_ made it work. Lindsay =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Lindsay J Allen, CNE +61 9 316-2486 =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
