Hello there,
I was just wondering on how I came to have the following
message whenever I try and print something...
(NOAH: ~)lpr file_name
lpr: connect: No such file or directory
jobs queued, but cannot start daemon.
(NOAH: ~)
I would then have to type "lpd" to get the printing going. Also when I
run the "lpc" program, and I try and start everything, I get the
following message...
(NOAH: ~)lpc
lpc> start all
lp:
printing enabled
lpc: connect: No such file or directory
couldn't start daemon
lpc>
I am currently using Slackware 3.0, this problem did not exist when I
was using 2.3 but I don't know if this problem came about because of
the change or because of some other factor. (I haven't been printing
for a while you see).
Setup:
486-DX50
HP LaserJet 4L (I don't think the rest is important
but if it is just let me know...)
I would appreciate help from anyone...
Thanks in advance...
