Dual Pentium Motherboard Recommendations?

#58604

I'm looking at getting a Dual Pentium motherboard (and running an SMP kernel)
fairly soon and I'm pretty stumped as to which I should get. I had a quick
browse though the linux-smp archives and it seems that the Tyan Tomcat II
that I was considering crashes an awful lot.

Any recommendations as to a reliable board? I would much prefer the Triton II
chipset to Neptune (Unless you think otherwise:).

Another quick question. As I understand, Cyrix 6x86 CPUs do not support dual
configurations. But would they work on a dual board in single CPU mode? I want
to have the dual board running with one (cheaper) Cyrix cpu to start with,
then upgrade to dual (Intel) CPUs later.

Thanks
